Same Restrictions.

If you know nothing about Nascar, then you are about to receive a lesson. In Nascar there are four engines in play: Dodge, Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota. Toyota is running its second full season landing a enormous deal with Gibbs Racing. Toyota has been overpowering this year, mainly Gibbs Racing and the number 18 (Kyle Busch). In dominating(a understatement) the Nascar circuit, Toyota was penalized for doing an outstanding job. The Toyota team has won 6 of 13 in the Craftsmen Truck Series, 8 of 19 Sprint Cup races and 14 of 21 races in the Nationwide Series, at one point winning 8 in a row. How have they done this you may ask, they have achieved this by following every engine restriction to the T put in place by Nascar. The same rules that were in place for every engine manufacturer. However, since Toyota has been having a “dream” season, and out working every other team, Nascar seems to think they need to put more restrictions in place. The twist; These new restrictions are only for Toyota. Before I down Nascar lets take a look back a couple of years ago when a man named Kevin Harvick owned the Nascar Series winning, at that time, a record 14 races in one season. Now Nascar did not punish the Chevrolet engine for their “dream season”. Anyways, back to July 27, 2008 when Toyota, their new engine restrictions, and Kyle Busch, won their record setting 15th race over 3 Nascar Series. How did he do so, in dominating fashion. Kyle lead 197 of 200 laps. Motors or drivers? I believe they are dominating the Nascar Series by their talent and experience. In closing, Chevrolet, Dodge, as well as ford I have but one simple message for each of you,QUIT crying about losing and start outworking Toyota. That is if you want to compete in Nascar.
